Solanco To Announce Homecoming King and Queen

Solanco High School will announce the 2025 homecoming king and queen prior to the start of the football game on Friday, Sept. 26. The homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. The theme of this year's dance is "A Night in Paris."

The homecoming queen candidates are Victoria Dunlap, Ava Foley, Kaitlyn Fulton, Addison Gill, Danielle Kraynak, Brooklynn King, Shannon Moore, Hannah Perella, Sydney Wolfe, and Lydia Grace Young. The homecoming king candidates are Kris Burgos-Wise, Gabe Forren, Aiden Hastings, Johnny Garcia, Kenton Green, Owen Kut, Brendan Mecouch, Andersen Miller, Zach Muzzy, and John Winters.

Victoria Dunlap is the daughter of Kevin and Jessica Dunlap. She is the president of National Honor Society and the treasurer for the senior class and is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Honor Society, and Link Crew. Outside of school, she is involved in her youth group. Victoria's future plans are to attend a four-year college, majoring in exercise science or kinesiology.

Ava Foley is the daughter of Ben and Lauren Foley. She is involved in the fall play and spring musical, as well as International Thespian Society. She is the treasurer of Solanco's drama club and the Thespian Society. Ava's future plans are to attend a four-year college and major in acting.

Kaitlyn Fulton is the daughter of Ron and Vicky Fulton. She is involved in field hockey, National Honor Society, WSLC News, and Ophelia Day. Kaitlyn helps with the Solanco athletics program and is a manager for the Solanco wrestling team. She attends the Freedom Life and Oak Hill Fellowship churches and is a student leader at Chestnut Level Youth Group. Kaitlyn's future plans include attending college to major in nursing.

Addison Gill is the daughter of John and Stephanie Gill. She is involved in varsity volleyball and the Varsity Club. Addison's future plan include attending a four-year college to major in nursing.

Danielle Kraynak is the daughter of Tim and Aliza Kraynak. She is involved in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Student Senate, and Link Crew. Outside of school, she plays club soccer for Octorara and is a youth leader at Chestnut Level Church, where she also plays guitar for the worship team. After high school, Danielle plans to attend a four-year college and then pursue a master's degree in clinical psychology.

Brooklynn King is the daughter of Jed and Michelle King. She is involved in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and the National Art Honor Society. She is also a member of the cross-country team and the softball team. Brooklynn plans on attending college to pursue a career in health science and nutrition.

Shannon Moore is the daughter of Roger and Lori Moore. She is involved in the Black and Gold Marching Band, National Art Honor Society, and the track and field team. Shannon's future hopes include attending Penn State University as a mechanical engineering major, as well as playing in Penn State's Blue Band. After college, she intends to go on to work for Disney's Imagineering program to build and design rollercoasters.

Hannah Perella is the daughter of Tony and Gwenyth Perella. She is involved in Link crew, Yearbook Club, and Student Senate and is the secretary of National Honor Society. Outside of school, Hannah dances at Debbie's School of Dance, attends Faith Church, and is involved in youth group. After high school, she plans to attend Lancaster Bible College for four years and major in marketing.

Sydney Wolfe is the daughter of Chad and Sandy Wolfe. She is involved with volleyball and National Honor Society. Sydney's future plans include attending a four-year college and majoring in criminal justice.

Lydia Grace Young is the daughter of Chad and Maria Young. She is an active member of three honor societies: Tri-M, where she serves as historian; National Honor Society; and the International Thespian Society. Lydia is heavily involved in the performing arts, participating in the school's fall plays and spring musicals, as well as PMEA District and Regional Chorus. She has consistently earned honor roll recognition. After graduation, Lydia plans to attend college to pursue a degree in communications and business.

Kris Burgos-Wise is the son of George and Jamie Burgos. He is a member of the varsity football team. Kris attends Encounter Church and participates in the youth group program. Kris' future plans include attending a four-year college, majoring in business, and continuing to play football at the college level.

Gabe Forren is the son of Joseph and Cherie Forren. He is a member of the varsity football and lacrosse teams. Gabe currently attends the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center photography and visual communications program. Gabe's future plans include pursuing a career in the visual communication field.

Aiden Hastings is the son of Kent and Tabatha Hastings. He is involved in basketball, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He attends Encounter Church and is involved in two youth groups. Aiden's future plans include going into the work field to pursue a career in equipment operation.

Johnny Garcia is the son of Luis and Rocio Garcia. He is president of the senior class and a member of the Varsity Club, Ophelia Day, Link Crew, and track and field and football teams. Johnny's future plans include playing football at the college level while majoring in exercise science or biology to pursue a career as a physical therapist.

Kenton Green is the son of Matt and Jona Green. He is involved in every performing ensemble Solanco has to offer in theater, as well as Link Crew, and is a member of the track and cross-country teams. He serves as the Student Senate executive board vice president. He attends New Providence Church and has served as the state master councilor of Pennsylvania DeMolay. Kenton's future plans are to attend the United States Air Force Academy and major in political science.

Owen Kut is the son of Jeffrey and Traci Kut. He is a member of the basketball and lacrosse teams. He is involved with Link Crew, Ophelia Day, and National Honor Society. He attends Providence Church and is a student leader at Chestnut Level Youth Group. Owen's future plans include attending a four-year college and majoring in mechanical engineering.

Brendan Mecouch is the son of Steven and Kathleen Mecouch. Brendan serves as captain of the varsity boys' soccer team and is a youth leader at Chestnut Level Youth Group. He is involved in Student Senate, National Honor Society, and Link Crew. Brendan plans to pursue a college degree followed by a master's in secondary education, with a focus on mathematics.

Andersen Miller is the son of Michael and Kara Miller. He is involved in football, lacrosse, National Honor Society, WSLC News, and Ophelia Day. He attends Oak Hill Fellowship Church and is a student leader for the Chestnut Level Youth Group. Andersen's future plans include attending mortuary school with plans to become a funeral director.

Zach Muzzy is the son of Glenn and Rebecca Muzzy. He attends Providence Church, where he is active in the youth group, and he also swims competitively with Lancaster Aquatic Club. Looking ahead, Zach plans to attend Word of Life Bible Institute for two years before transferring to a four-year university to pursue a degree in civil or industrial engineering, with the goal of working in the foundry industry.

John Winters is the son of John and Denise Winters. He is a member of Link Crew and the National Honor Society and serves as president of the French Honor Society. John has been named to the 4.0 GPA honor roll all four years of high school and was the recipient of the Lenfest Scholarship this past May. Outside of school, John is an active member of his community, serving on the Teen Advisory Board for the Quarryville Public Library, forming a teen book club this past summer, and coaching multiple K-5 reading and writing programs. After high school, John hopes to attend a four-year university, where he plans to study English language and literature.
