South American dance troupe to perform

The Argentinian dance troupe Malevo will perform on Tuesday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Clair Hall at Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center, 60 W. Cottage Ave., on the campus of Millersville University.

Created by director, choreographer, and dancer Matias Jaime, Malevo specializes in the malambo, a traditional Argentine folk dance. Malevo has performed in numerous shows, festivals and other events around the world, including appearances at the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals and on the recent 2023 "America's Got Talent: All-Stars" program. Currently, the company tours internationally, presenting its show "Malambo Xtreme," and it is developing a new show called "Salvaje." The company also offers Malevo Art Factory, an online platform for teaching dances.
