The Southern Hope Foundation (SHF) is a nonprofit organization that aids families in need within southern Lancaster County. In the past, SHF has provided families with presents, food, and funds for utility payments during holiday seasons. The foundation has also assisted individuals during emergency situations, including financial assistance with newborn needs, medical emergencies, and natural disasters such as house fires. The goal of SHF is to continue these efforts and help year-round.

SHF is currently selling tickets for a chance to win prizes throughout the month of July. Prizes include grills, handguns, rifles, cash, coolers, a television, and gift cards from local businesses. To participate, individuals must purchase tickets from one of the following locations: Peach Bottom Consignment, 1854 Lancaster Pike, Peach Bottom; Son's Ice Cream Shop, 319 W. State St., Quarryville; or All Notary & Tag Service, 1288 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville.

There is no limit on the number of tickets individuals can purchase. Information must be completed in full on the bottom of the ticket and returned to SHF or the location of purchase. Every ticket stub entry will be put into a giant wheel, and one winner will be drawn every day throughout the month of July.
