Event organizers are seeking sponsors for the Thank a Hero; Be a Hero Health and Safety Event commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11. This inaugural event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, at Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC), 70 W. Welsh Pool Road, Exton, to raise awareness and support of emergency services. Gates will open at 3 p.m. Various sponsorship levels are available, and donations can be made in honor or in memory of a specific first responder.

The event will start with a 9/11 memorial service led by chaplain Jerry Schwartz, CISM coordinator for Chester County. Informational demonstrations and materials will be available for people of all ages. UAC will introduce children to the world of emergency services - EMS, fire and police - through interactive learning stations with a prize for completion.
