Sportsmen's Association posts events

Manheim Sportsmen's Association, 552 Oak Tree Road, Manheim, has announced its upcoming activities. For details, visit http://www.manheimsportsmansassoc.org.

Trap shooting will take place each Wednesday throughout July from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. as well as each Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon; Saturdays hours may be extended, weather permitting. The club will hold a membership meeting on Thursday, July 13, at 7 p.m. Membership applications will be available; they are also available by visiting the aforementioned website or by calling the membership secretary at 717-665-7729.

The association is sponsoring two students to attend the 2023 Lancaster County Conservation School. The program will be held from Sunday, July 23, through Friday, July 28, at Northern Lancaster County Fish & Game Protective Association, and the students will give the Manheim Sportsmen's Association a report on their experiences at a subsequent club meeting.

The club will hold its third annual memorial trap shoot in memory of Larry Schuar on Saturday, July 29, starting at 10 a.m. All money raised at the Larry Schuar Memorial Shoot will benefit the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development. The trap shoot is open to the public, and all shooters must provide their own shooting equipment and supplies. Food will be available, and there will be prizes and giveaways.
