Spring Roses Vendor Show Planned

The Spring Roses Vendor Show will return to the Manheim Farm Show Exhibition building, 502 E. Adele Ave., for the fifth year on Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The show will feature local vendors and small businesses, including direct sales companies, selling items such as kitchenware, food, women's and girls' clothing, jewelry, candles and hand-thrown pottery.

The featured fundraiser will benefit Manheim Teen Central, a nonprofit organization that offers after-school activities and life skills programs for local youths and children. The organization's mission statement says, "The mission of Teen Central is to proclaim a life of purpose and hope to each generation of youth, through Jesus Christ, by providing positive activities, mentoring relationships, and promoting social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth."

Representatives of Teen Central will offer hot beverages, muffins and more at its stand, and they can also share more information about the organization. Another stand will offer flowers for sale, with proceeds benefiting Teen Central's programs and operating costs. For a fee per individual flower stem, attendees may make their own bouquet; premade arrangements will also be available.

New this year, a food truck, J&J's Famous Eats, will be stationed at the event. J&J's Famous Eats offers a blend of Hispanic and American food.

Due to construction, parking is limited to street parking on Adele Avenue with additional parking in the Aaron's Acres parking lot by the swimming pool and sports areas across from the school. Handicapped-accessible parking and limited parking are available at the back of the Farm Show building.
