SSBVM Parish plans summer festival

Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary (SSBVM) Parish, 280 N. Race St., Middletown, will hold its summer festival from Thursday to Saturday, June 22 to 24, rain or shine. The festival will run from 5 to 9 p.m. each evening. Activities will include a flea market, cash and basket giveaway drawings, jewelry, bingo, and games for people of all ages.

Patrons can enjoy homemade meals of honey-glazed baked chicken, pasta with meatballs, halupki casserole, pierogies, haluski, chicken Caesar salad, and baked goods in the cafeteria. Food options outdoors will include Schmidt's sausage, gourmet chicken cheesesteaks, seasoned fries, and funnel cakes. On Friday, June 23, and Saturday only, Farm Show milkshakes will be available.

Live entertainment will be presented every night. The performers will be the Dave Kelly Duo on Thursday, Dovetail on Friday and Crossing Abbey Road on Saturday. Friday and Saturday nights will also feature fun for kids with a 60-foot-long, two-lane obstacle course with a 17-foot slide and bounce house.
