SSBVM Parish To Hold Summer Festival

Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary (SSBVM) Parish, 280 N. Race St., Middletown, will hold its summer festival on the parish grounds on Thursday, June 23, through Saturday, June 25, rain or shine. The festival will run from 5 to 9 p.m. nightly and will feature a flea market, opportunities to win cash and baskets, a jewelry extravaganza, and games for people of all ages.

Entertainment and food options will vary each evening. June 23 will feature music by Occasions DJs. A variety of food trucks on June 23 will include Sittin' Pickin' Chickin', The Lucky Penny Burger Co., Taste of Italy, Scoop ” Dough, 717 Tacos, ShreddRRz, and Farm Show Milkshakes. Friday, June 24, will include live music by Beatles cover band Crossing Abbey Road, and June 25 will feature live music performed by The Bad Toupees, a classic rock dance band. On June 24 and 25, food options will include several homemade meal options, such as lasagna rolls with meatballs, Polish stuffed cabbage, haluski, and pierogies. Baked goods, funnel cakes, Father Sahd's ice cream waffles, and more will also be available.
