St. John's United Methodist Church (UMC), 3001 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, will host its annual Christmas concert, featuring the church's own One Step Closer, on Friday, Dec. 6. The concert will begin at 7 p.m.

One Step Closer is a local Christian contemporary group, with Kathy Holcomb on vocals and Brian Gregg on vocals, guitar, and harmonica. Dave Stoltzfus will join the group again this year playing guitar and bass. The performance will include Christmas carols and classical Christmas music, and Sammi Sbarbaro will present a vocal solo in her debut performance.

Prior to the concert, at 6:30 p.m., attendees may enjoy homemade cookies, hot chocolate, and fellowship.

The concert is free, but attendees are invited to bring single-serving nonperishable food items, such as pop-top soups and raviolis, applesauce, cereal, and instant oatmeal. The items will be given to CVCCS' Weekend Blessings Program, which provides weekend meals to students in need in Conestoga Valley School District.
