Storytelling Night slated

In a celebration of stories that transcend boundaries, Mennonite Life will host its annual Storytelling Night on Monday, Aug. 5, at 7 p.m. at Mellinger Mennonite Church, 1916 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster. Local storytellers Josef Berthold and Becky Hess will relate short-form anecdotes from their lives.

Berthold is the pastor at West End Mennonite Fellowship in Lancaster. He and his wife, Brenda, have lived in Lancaster city for 30 years and raised their three boys there.

Hess is the human resources director at Eastern Mennonite Missions. She is married to Jack, and they have three adult children and three grandchildren.

Storytelling Night is free of charge. Mennonite Life welcomes donations to support its mission, which in addition to storytelling includes history conservation efforts.

A recording of the event will be available on Mennonite Life's YouTube channel the following week.
