Strausser Conducts Scientific Research

Leah Strausser of Narvon is working on an Albright Creative Research Experience (ACRE) project this winter at Albright College. Through ACRE projects, undergraduate students conduct research or pursue creative endeavors outside of regular semester sessions. Student proposals that are accepted by a faculty review board are rewarded with college stipends.

A graduate of Garden Spot High School, Strausser is studying molecular psychobiology at Albright while working with Adam Hersperger, associate professor of biology, on "A Viral Conundrum: Does Ectromelia Virus Make a Growth Factor-like Protein or Not?" The pair's research is aided by the Patt Family ACRE Endowed Fund.
