Strong Alumni Presence At Solanco XC Kickoff

A strong supporting cast of family, friends and alumni gathered at Solanco to help the harrier teams kick off the season with a scrimmage against Conestoga Valley, Pequea Valley and Octorara on Aug. 27.

"It was a great way to test our race preparation and to start making the switch from summer training mode in a low-pressure way," said head coach Andrew Musselman. "This will help us determine the type of work we need to prioritize over the next two months. We are excited about the season and look forward to more chances to race."

"The event and the scrimmage was the best attendance we have ever received," said alumni association board member Craig Ausel. "We have received $2,500 in scholarship support so far and still have plenty of business and individual signs available for sponsorship. If we receive more in the weeks ahead, we might be able to increase the number of student-athletes receiving scholarships next spring. We are so very thankful to all who have responded."
