The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) released its National Academic Squad recently, and 75% of Eastern Mennonite University's roster earned the recognition. The Academic Squad award is for individuals who hold a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher through the fall semester.
Two local athletes, Rachel Breslin of Lititz and Lauren Hartzler of Manheim, were among the students named to the Academic Squad. Additionally, Hartzler earned repeat honors and was named to the Scholars of Distinction, an honor for student-athletes who held a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or better through the fall semester of the 2020-21 year.
