Peter Judge of Coatesville won the top prize in the social enterprise category during the Elevator Pitch Competition at Grove City College, Grove City, on Nov. 10. Students had two minutes to pitch their commercial business or social enterprise ideas in the recent showdown sponsored by the college's Center for Entrepreneurship + Innovation.

Judge, a freshman computer science major, advanced his idea for Mosquitocide, a company committed to reducing the world's mosquito population and eradicating bug-borne disease. The company would use an innovative mosquito trap, which would mimic the human chemicals and skin that only attract mosquitoes. Judge's hope was to come up with a way to reduce the mosquito population without harming other insects that are good for the environment. Judge won a cash prize.
