Students Donate Winter Clothing To Children In Need

Students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschools on Estelle Drive and Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster recently donated more than 180 winter clothing items to the Salvation Army.

Throughout December, students worked together to collect gloves, hats and scarves for the organization's Angel Tree program. At the end of the collections, students helped count the donations and prepare them for delivery to the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.

The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program provides new clothes and toys for 1 million children who usually go without gifts during the holiday season. Anonymous donors help to provide the gifts. For more information, readers may visit http://www.salvationarmyusa.org.
