Students of the Month Honored

The Manheim Lions Club has recognized Destiny Custer and Isabela Parraga as the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) Students of the Month for October and November, respectively.

Destiny is enrolled in the animal production science and technology program at the Willow Street LCCTC campus. She chose to enroll in this program for more one-on-one interaction in a full-day class. Destiny wants to pursue a career working with animals and currently is involved in the Manheim FFA and LCCTC FFA (Sentinel) and raises rabbits. Destiny's career plans include starting her own business in animal breeding.

Isabela is enrolled in the advanced health careers program at LCCTC's Mount Joy campus. She chose this program because she knew it would give her a head start toward her goal of becoming a nurse. Through the program, she participates in clinical experiences, gains hands-on skills, practices medical terminology, and explores her career interests while meeting new people. Isabela stays actively involved as a student ambassador and Skills USA officer at LCCTC, as well as a member of the Spanish Honor Society at Manheim Central High School. Upon graduation, Isabela plans to begin her career as a nurse in the ICU before continuing her education to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
