Students of the Month Honored

The Paradise Rotary Club has recognized three Students of the Month for May, who are all high school juniors. They are Alysia Vasquez from Conestoga Valley, Antonio de la Rosa Ruark from Lancaster Mennonite, and Isabella Biddle from Pequea Valley.

Alysia is the daughter of Miguel and Anna Vasquez of Ephrata. She has been included on the honor roll and the distinguished honor roll, and she is a member of National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society and the social media officer for Mu Alpha Theta. She was the grand champion of the Conestoga Valley Science Fair for the 2024-25 school year and the second-place winner in the Animal and Behavioral Sciences category at the North Museum Science and Engineering Fair.

Antonio is the son of Heather Ruark and Horacio de la Rosa Ortiz of Lancaster. He is a member of National Honor Society, the soccer team, the string orchestra, and the pit orchestra for the school's musicals. He earned a third-place award and an honorary mention in the Latin American Alliance Literature competition and participated in the District 7 Orchestra.

Isabella is the daughter of Chris and Erin Biddle of Gap. She is the dance committee chair for the Mini-THON service club and has performed in and served as treasurer for school plays and musicals, and she is a member of National Honor Society, concert choir, and Chamber Singers. She is also an FCA leader, an FFA sentinel, class treasurer, and a member of the prom committee, and she is involved with Discovering Paths and the German American Partnership Program. She has participated in the 2024 ACDA Eastern Region Choir Festival, the 2023 and 2025 LLMEA County Choirs, and the 2025 PMEA District Choir. She volunteers at Limeville's Blessings and serves at and attends Freedom Life Church.
