Students Of The Month Recognized

Dylan Yoder and Grace Stoltzfus have been selected as the Students of the Month for May at Manheim Central High School. The Manheim Women's Club sponsors the Girls of the Month, and both Students of the Month are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manheim. The honorees are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character and involvement within the school and community.

Dylan, 18, is the son of Kim and Denver Yoder of Manheim. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and Student Council. He has been a member of the baseball team since 2018. He has been involved with the Manheim BIC youth group and has participated in the Manheim Project and several youth baseball camps. Dylan plans to attend Messiah University to major in business and minor in chemistry.

Grace, 18, is the daughter of Matt and Andrea Stoltzfus of Manheim. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Interact Club, Student Council and Wednesday Morning Bible Club. She has been a captain of the volleyball team since her sophomore year, and she has been the starting setter since her freshman year, earning four varsity letters. Grace was recognized as an L-L League Section 2 second-team All-Star her sophomore year and an L-L League Section 2 first-team All-Star her junior and senior years. In her sophomore year, she was a third-team district All-Star. Grace also plays volleyball for a local club in the winter. At the end of her junior year, she received the 11th-grade academic award for social studies. She is active in her youth group at Manheim Brethren in Christ Church and attends LCBC Manheim on Sundays. Her activities with her youth group have included participating in the Manheim Project and camping at Pinch Pond. After high school, Grace plans to do mission work for a year and then possibly attend college to study special education.
