Students of the Month Recognized

Elizabethtown Area Middle School has recognized its December Students of the Month.

Honored students include sixth-graders Madelynn Bowers, Willow Brinser, Maverick Eves, Hana Hershey, Leland Imler, and Cole McFeaters; seventh-graders Emily Barron, Brady Harvey, Natalie Krebs, Alexander Soe, Lydia Stark, and Liliana Stouffer; and eighth-graders Rudy Brisbane, Malina Myers, Atapne N'Dikwe, Emery Sands, Cayden Troop, and Olivia Wang.

Each month, teachers reflect on the students in their teams through the lens of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," identifying those who exemplify a particular habit or who have shown growth in that area. For December, the focus was on Habit Three - Put First Things First. This habit encourages students to prioritize what matters most and manage their time effectively. Students who practice this habit focus on responsibilities before distractions, balance work and recreation, and make thoughtful choices that help them stay on track toward their goals.

The Student of the Month program is part of the school's Leader in Me initiative, which emphasizes developing leadership skills, fostering positive peer relationships, and encouraging students to take ownership of their choices throughout the school year.
