Students receive awards at CASEF

Penn State Harrisburg held the award ceremony for the winners of the Capital Area Science and Engineering Fair (CASEF) project awards on March 9. Four students from Hershey High School earned awards in various categories.

Anshi Paul was named a Senior Grand Champion for her project on "Memory Assistive Facial Recognition Device for Dementia Patients." As a Senior Grand Champion, she will participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair in Dallas, Texas, in May.

Jason Weller and Shaunak Dalal also earned recognition for their projects in the senior competition at CASEF. Weller earned an award in the Physical Science division for his project titled "Utilizing Optical Tweezers to Noninvasively Determine the Viscosity of Solutions." Dalal earned an award in the Chemistry division for the project titled "Enhancement of Anodal Biocatalytic Current Production in a Glucose Biofuel Cell."

Arman Kazi competed in the Junior Medicine and Health division. He earned an award for a project titled "Creating Brain Computer Interface for Neuromuscular Disease Patients."
