The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology remind Pennsylvanians to submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Sunday, May 1. Filling out the FAFSA and submitting it before the deadline will help current and future college students determine how much financial assistance they will receive at the school they plan to attend.

All first-time applicants enrolled in a community college; business, trade, or technical school; hospital school of nursing; designated Pennsylvania open-admission institution; or nontransferable two-year program do have an extended deadline the first year they file. The extended deadline is Monday, Aug. 1.
