Students to Display Science Projects

The North Museum Science & Engineering Fair (NMSEF) will be held at Millersville University, 40 Dilworth Road, Millersville, on Thursday, March 12. More than 250 students in grades six through 12 will present their science projects, which may be viewed by the public from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The NMSEF awards ceremony will follow at 6:30 p.m.

The project categories for the fair's senior division are Animal and Behavioral Science; Biochemistry and Biomedical Science; Chemistry, Energy, and Materials Science; Earth and Environmental Sciences; Environmental, Engineering Technology, and Robotics; Microbiology; Physics and Mathematics; and Plant Sciences. The junior division categories are Botany, Consumer Science, Earth Science, Engineering, Life Science, and Physical Science.

The top two students from the NMSEF's senior division - the Grand Champion and the Senior Champion - will earn the right to compete against 1,700 other students in the International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, Ariz., from Saturday, May 9, to Friday, May 15.
