Summer jazz concert series planned

The Barn at Paradise Station, 312 Paradise Lane, Ronks, has announced the return of its popular Jazz on the Patio Summer Series, running on Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m. from May 29 through Aug. 28.

The Barn at Paradise Station is situated on the 9-acre iconic property of The Red Caboose Motel & Casey Jones' Restaurant. Guests will be able to enjoy some of Lancaster's best jazz groups while sipping wine, dining on the blue flagstone patio and overlooking the Strasburg Rail Road and countryside.

A food menu designed by Paradise Station's chef, Brian Maxwell, as well as wine, beer and specialty drinks, will be available for purchase. The patio will open at 5 p.m., with music beginning at 6 p.m. The venue features casual dress, no cover and free parking. Attendees are not allowed to bring any outside food or beverages. In the event of inclement weather, Jazz on the Patio will be held inside on the lower level of the barn.

The following artists will perform: May 29, The Fred Hughes Trio; June 5, Temple Avenue; June 12, The Dave Wilson Quartet (contemporary jazz); June 19, Andy Roberts & Friends; June 26, Swing Street Quartet; July 3, concert and fireworks event (no jazz); July 10, Allessio Music (modern original jazz); July 17, The 4 Daves (contemporary jazz with a little variety); July 24, Andy Roberts & Friends; July 31, Corsair Blue Jazz Orchestra; Aug. 7, Temple Avenue; Aug. 14, The Fred Hughes Trio; Aug. 21, The Wave Quartet (jazz and blues); and Aug. 28, Andy Roberts & Friends.
