The New Bridgeville Fire Company Auxiliary invites community members to celebrate the arrival of summer at an event on Friday, June 7, from 3 to 6 p.m. Intended to thank the community for its support, the event will be held at the New Bridgeville Fire Company, 2870 Furnace Road, Red Lion. Games and activities will be available for children and adults.

A free meal will be served, featuring a cup of chicken corn soup or ham bean soup and hot dogs. Ice cream with toppings, including fresh strawberries, will be offered for dessert.

Soup will be available to take home for a fee for those who preorder. A limited amount of soup may be available for purchase on the day of the event. Soup is being made using recipes from local churches.
