Sweet Pea Project To Memorialize Children

Local nonprofit Sweet Pea Project, which offers support to families that have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy or infancy, will offer bereaved families a way to memorialize their children this holiday season. Christmas Tree Lane at the Lancaster Barnstormers' stadium, 650 N. Prince St., Lancaster, will include a Sweet Pea Project tree, which is sponsored by Zoetropolis Cinema Stillhouse and will be adorned with ornaments honoring local families' late babies. Ornaments can be handmade or storebought and must be dropped off at Zoetropolis, 112 N. Water St., Lancaster, during its regular business hours anytime through Monday, Nov. 21.

There is no charge to participate, but anyone interested should email Stephanie Kulfan at stephanie@sweetpeaproject.org for further details and to register before dropping off their ornament. Each member of the family may create or buy his or her own ornament, but Sweet Pea Project is only able to accept one ornament per person for each baby being honored.

For more information, email Kulfan. Details about Christmas Tree Lane are available at http://www.lancasterbarnstormers.com/events-2022/christmas-tree-lane/.
