Talk On Martin Luther Slated

A presentation titled "Memorializing Martin Luther in His Hometown" will take place in the auditorium at Landis Valley Museum's Visitor Center, 2451 Kissel Hill Road, Lancaster, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27.

David Blackburn will discuss how Martin Luther's life and accomplishments are preserved and shared in Luther's hometown of Wittenberg, Germany, which Blackburn visited earlier this year. A World Heritage site, Wittenberg is where Luther sparked the Reformation. Blackburn will present a brief history of Wittenberg, the sites preserved, their connection to Luther, and how Luther's story is shared with the public.

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. To register, visit http://www.landisvalleymuseum.org and look under Events.
