Talk on Special Olympics slated

The Manheim Lions Club invites the public to an open meeting featuring a presentation from Anne and Chloe Phillips representing Special Olympics.

The event will take place on Monday, March 6, at the Manheim Train Station, located at 210 S. Charlotte St. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m., and the presentation will start at 7 p.m.

The Special Olympics mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic sports for people with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
