"Tap Talks" program slated

The Penn State Master Watershed Steward Program, in partnership with the Appalachian Brewing Company Inc., invites the community to attend "Tap Talks: The Susquehanna River" on Wednesday, June 28, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the second-floor tap room at the Appalachian Brewing Company, 50 N. Cameron St., Harrisburg,

Attendees will learn about the geology of the Susquehanna River and the influence that geology has on water quality. The talk will focus on the river's geology and its historical impact on water quality, brewing and local history. The presentation will cover rock types minerals and fossils found in the lower Susquehanna River and upper Chesapeake Bay areas.

The speaker will be Jeri Jones, a seasoned geologist who specializes in local history and geology. He has written several books and papers and even produces videos on Pennsylvania's past.

This is an extension of the Tap Talks series hosted by the Penn State Extension's Master Watershed Steward Program.
