The Belmont Theatre to present "All My Sons"

The Belmont Theatre, 27 S. Belmont St., York, will present the classic, award-winning play "All My Sons" by Arthur Miller on Friday to Sunday, March 24 to 26, and Thursday to Sunday, March 30 to April 2. Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows will start at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees will start at 3 p.m. The play will be performed in the theater's Grumbacher Studio.

"All My Sons" focuses on the families of Joe Keller and Steve Deever, who ran a machine shop that made airplane parts during World War II. The firm produced defective parts, leading to the deaths of many men, and Deever was sent to prison while Keller went free. Additionally, a Keller son was reported missing during the war. "All My Sons" won a Tony Award and a New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play. The play was adapted for films in 1948 and 1987.

The play is directed by Jack Hartman, who also plays Joe Keller. Other cast members include David Kloser as Chris Keller, Joan Crooks as Kate Keller, Kayla Nicholas as Ann Deever, Jeremy Slagle as George Deever, Amber Gamber as Sue Bayliss, Patrick Casey as Jim Bayliss, Josh Hamme as Frank Lubey, Christen Demnitz as Lydia Lubey and Ethan Beckman as Bert.

"All My Sons" is Hartman's last project at The Belmont Theatre, as he and his wife plan to relocate to Long Island in April. A litigation attorney with CGA Law Firm, Hartman has been involved with the theater in his free time for almost 20 years and has served on the board for six. In addition to "All My Sons," he has directed "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Frankenstein," "Steel Magnolias," "The Elephant Man" and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

The Belmont Theatre is offering a military/veteran ticket option for this production, which will be available for all performances starting in the theater's 91st season. For tickets and more information, visit http://www.thebelmont.org or call 717-854-5715. Free parking is available.
