The Trust to kick off arts season

The Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster, will kick off its 2024-25 Arts & Culture season with the first of four concerts in this year's Lancaster International Piano Festival series. Performing at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, in the Great Hall will be internationally renowned pianist Xun Pan, along with Philadelphia Orchestra associate principal cellist Priscilla Lee and assistant principal second violinist Dara Morales.

A noted chamber musician and a judge for many piano competitions, Pan is the pianist of the Newstead Trio and Trio Clavino, whose work has been broadcast through the radio, television, and recordings. One of the founding members and the artistic director of the Lancaster International Piano Festival, Pan teaches at Millersville University and is a visiting professor at many universities and conservatories in China. He has performed worldwide.

Lee began studying at the age of 5 and made her solo debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. A native of California, she studied at the Colburn School of Performing Arts and Curtis Institute of Music. Lee earned her Master of Music from the Mannes College of Music and has participated in the festivals of Marlboro, Santa Fe, Seattle, Delaware, and St. Denis in Paris, among others. A past member of Lincoln Center's Chamber Music Society Two, she was a founding member of Trio Cavatina, which won the Naumburg International Competition grand prize, and she joined the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2016.

Morales joined the Philadelphia Orchestra to start the 2007-08 season from the Utah Symphony and Opera. She previously held positions with the Puerto Rico Symphony and Northern Kentucky Symphony and has performed with symphonies in Utah, Cincinnati, Bangor, and Lancaster, among others. During the summers, Morales teaches at the Philadelphia International Music Festival. A native of Ephrata, she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in music from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
