Theater group to stage Shakespeare play

Gamut Theatre's Harrisburg Shakespeare Company will present "The Comedy of Errors" at Reservoir Park, 100 Concert Drive, Harrisburg as part of the 31st annual Free Shakespeare in the Park series. The production will run on Wednesdays through Saturdays, from June 5 through 15, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

"The Comedy of Errors" follows identical twins (both called Antipholus) with identical manservants (both called Dromio), separated in infancy by outrageous circumstances. One Antipholus now lives with Dromio; his wife, Adriana; and her sister, Luciana, in Ephesus, while the other pair has just arrived from Syracuse. A romp of mistaken identity and misunderstandings ensue, resulting in a reunion of separated twins and their parents.

Attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Jazzeryn's Catering will sell fresh food at every performance.

Gamut Theatre is the combined theater company of Popcorn Hat Players Children's Theatre and Harrisburg Shakespeare Company. Gamut's mission is to tell classic stories in new and exciting ways. For more information, visit http://www.gamuttheatre.org/fsip or call the box office at 717-238-4111.
