Gamut Theatre Group, 15 N. Fourth St., Harrisburg, will present "Pride and Prejudice" from Saturday, March 9, to Sunday, March 24. Performances will take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:30 p.m.

The play is Kate Hamill's 2017 adaptation of Jane Austen's 1813 novel of the same name. It centers on the clever and judgmental Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters, who are urged by their mother to secure their futures and fortunes by finding wealthy husbands. After a disastrous first meeting, Lizzie and the rich, arrogant, and aloof Mr. Darcy must set aside their pride and prejudices in order to find love.
