The Ephrata Cloister Toastmasters Club will host an open house picnic on Monday, June 23, at 6:15 p.m. in Loyd H. Roland Memorial Park, 221 N. 11th St., Akron.

The event will feature a burrito bar, and attendees will hear from speaker Dana Ferber, who will share the benefits of joining Toastmasters.

Club members will also demonstrate a typical Toastmasters meeting, including prepared speeches; Table Topics, which are impromptu speeches to sharpen thinking and speaking skills; and evaluations.
