Toastmasters Name New Officers

Ernie Werstler is the new president of the Ephrata Cloister Toastmasters Club. Werstler was installed at a recent club hybrid meeting - held both in-person and virtually - by area governor Craig Brodbeck at Dove Westgate Church in Ephrata. Other officers installed were Dana Ferber, secretary/treasurer; Jane Huston, vice president of public relations; and Joanne Borolla, vice president of education and sergeant-at-arms.

Founded in 1924, Toastmasters International is a nonprofit, educational organization that seeks to empower individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. The Ephrata club is one of a worldwide network of more than 16,600 Toastmasters clubs in 143 countries with a membership that exceeds 357,000.

The Ephrata Cloister Toastmasters Club holds its hybrid meetings every second and fourth Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Dove Westgate Church and virtually via Zoom. Interested individuals may attend a complimentary introductory meeting. For more information, call 717-715-9234.
