Town Hall Series Set For Veterans

The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) announced its Virtual Veteran Town Hall Series. The series aims to provide the commonwealth's nearly 800,000 veterans with a convenient platform to learn and ask questions about programs and benefits earned through their military service.

The programs will be held every other month, and all sessions will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. via Webex. The first session will take place on Wednesday, March 16, and the topic will be "Veteran Suicide Prevention," with a focus on the support and resources available to veterans throughout the commonwealth. The other topics and dates will be "Serving Older Veterans" on Wednesday, May 18; "Resources for Homeless Veterans" on Wednesday, July 13; "Transportation Issues Facing Veterans" on Wednesday, Sept. 14; and "Honoring Veterans for Their Service and Sacrifice" on Wednesday, Nov. 2. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions of the presenters live through Webex's chat feature.
