The Most Rev. Timothy C. Senior, bishop of Harrisburg, was scheduled to ordain three seminarians as transitional deacons on May 18 at Saint Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg.

These seminarians are entering their final year of formation for the priesthood. As transitional deacons, they will proclaim the Gospel, preach, offer the Sacrament of Baptism, witness marriages, and conduct funeral services. In one year, it is anticipated they will be ordained priests for the Diocese of Harrisburg.

The new transitional deacons are Cole Mase from Holy Spirit Parish in Palmyra, Andrew St. Denis from Mary Mother of the Church Parish in Mount Joy, and Clark Stiteler from Saint Patrick Parish in Carlisle.
