The Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Program of Dauphin County will host its second annual native tree and shrub sale. The sale will feature a limited supply of 28 different trees and shrubs, all of which are native to Pennsylvania.

The trees and shrubs provide food, shelter and nesting habitat for wildlife, as well as privacy, shade, foliage and landscape beautification. Planting trees can also reduce flooding, stabilize soil and filter pollutants. The Master Watershed Stewards noted that fall is one of the best times to plant new trees.

Proceeds from this fundraiser support the Dauphin County Master Watershed Steward Program and its efforts to share information and inspire improvements within local watersheds.

Pickup will be available on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dauphin County Penn State Extension Office, 1451 Peters Mountain Road, Dauphin.
