A veteran's memorial tree lighting will be held on Friday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. at the entrance to Memorial Park, Park Avenue and Route 472, Quarryville.

Instrumental music by Solanco High School band members, directed by Scott Weyman, will begin at 6:45 p.m. The guest speaker will be Donna Blantz Ritz, who is retired from the U.S. Air Force.

Cookies and hot chocolate will be available. For a donation, attendees may write the name of a veteran on a star and place it on the tree. All proceeds will benefit New Hope Counseling Center.
