Truist Partners With YMCA Of The Roses

Truist has become a key partner in the YMCA's work to improve the lives of everyone in the York and Lancaster communities, especially newcomers to the area and those experiencing financial insecurity.

The current partnership between the YMCA of the Roses and Truist began in 2021 with a $10,000 grant to the YMCA's New American Welcome Center, which works with immigrants and newcomers in York and Lancaster counties to give them the support and resources they need to thrive in their new homes. The partnership is continuing in 2022 by way of Truist's $50,000 donation through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) to the YMCA's New American Welcome Center to empower all individuals facing financial hardships.

In addition, leadership from Truist is serving on the YMCA's Diversity, Inclusion and Globalization Committee to ensure the YMCA's policies and operations are inclusive and welcoming for all. Truist's team is working with the YMCA's staff to conduct workshops on relevant topics, including virtual banking, identity protection, budgeting and entrepreneurship. YMCA branches across York and Lancaster counties will host these workshops for newcomers, older adults and general community members free of charge.
