Twilight Walk At Pond Planned

Penn State Extension will offer the "Pond Twilight Walk," a workshop focused on the basics of pond water quality, ecology, plant identification and management. The event will occur on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 5 to 7 p.m. in Lititz. Pond owners and managers are encouraged to attend.

Topics will be basic pond plant identification, how to conduct basic pond water quality tests, how land uses and runoff can affect ponds, and basic pond ecology. Instructors will set aside time for discussion and interaction.

Space is limited, so preregistration is required by Tuesday, Sept. 27. The registration fee includes a copy of the publication "Management of Fish Ponds in Pennsylvania."
