UCEA, ECHOS open renovated crisis housing units

United Churches Elizabethtown Area (UCEA) has announced the opening of four newly revitalized units to serve households enrolled in the ECHOS crisis housing program, Bridge House 90. UCEA secured American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from the county commissioners, and UCEA also contributed its own capital to complete the project.

Backed by the endorsement of 22 Elizabethtown churches, UCEA goes beyond this project, operating community programs like the Community Cupboard, the Clothing Barn, and the local Meals on Wheels Program. In addition, the UCEA campus serves as a hub, providing nonprofits with spaces where they may carry out mission-centered work.

ECHOS, a key participant of the UCEA campus, delivers programs and services to community members grappling with homelessness, housing instability, and insufficient income.
