United Way To Host Pitch Competition

Chester County United Way will host the Social Impact category of the "Road to LionCage 2025" Pitch Competition series on Wednesday, July 23, from 2 to 6 p.m. at its Exton headquarters, 150 John Robert Thomas Drive. Local nonprofits, community changemakers, and mission-driven organizations may present ideas that reimagine how they serve their communities.

Presented by i2n, an initiative of the Chester County Economic Development Council; Penn State Great Valley LaunchBox; and Penn State Brandywine LaunchBox, the Social Impact pitch competition offers an opportunity for nonprofits to showcase pilot projects, experimental programs, or creative ways to expand their mission.

Selected participants will give a 10-minute presentation outlining their work, why it matters, and what they hope to do next. A panel of local community leaders will evaluate each pitch based on clarity, potential, and impact. The top presenter will receive a $500 prize, with $250 awarded for second place. The winner will also secure an automatic spot in the main LionCage event in November, where finalists will compete for $5,000 to $10,000 in funding.

People are also encouraged to attend the event as audience members.
