UZRC plans groundbreaking ceremony

United Zion Retirement Community, 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, May 2, at 4 p.m. to celebrate its new, architecturally designed, 45-unit apartment development project, Cedar Heights. The building will expand the footprint of the existing campus and will connect to the main building to offer easy access to all levels of care.

The apartments will provide a variety of sizes and layouts offering one-bedroom units, units including one bedroom with a den, and two-bedroom units. The units will range in size from 725 to 1,170 square feet and feature 9-foot ceilings in the dining and living rooms. Each apartment will also have a private patio or balcony. Additional common spaces will include a cafe, a fitness center, a living room, a fireside lounge and multipurpose room, and professionally landscaped outdoor space. The building, with four stories and upscale finishes, was designed by RDL Architects and will be built by Paul Risk Construction. The estimated move-in date for the Cedar Heights apartments is the fall of 2025. With sales continuing to progress, apartments are still available, offering premium views of the local landscape. The apartments are also located close to downtown Lititz.
