Veritas Community posts sermon series

The Veritas Community will begin a new sermon series titled "Seven" on Sunday, April 7. The church gathers every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at HUB 450, 450 N. Prince St., Lancaster. The first 15 minutes of the gathering are dedicated to fellowship.

The new series will explore Revelation 2 and 3, which contain letters to seven churches in Asia Minor. These churches were seeking to follow Jesus in the midst of the Roman Empire. The series will seek to answer the question "What can we learn about following Jesus as individuals and as a community in 2024 and in the midst of our own empires from these seven letters written to these seven churches around 2,000 years ago?"

The series will begin with the letter to the church in Ephesus in Revelation 2:1-7 on April 7. Additional weeks will focus on the churches in Smyrna, using the text Revelation 2:8-11, on April 14; Pergamum, Revelation 2:12-17, on April 21; Thyatira, Revelation 2:18-29 on April 28; Sardis, Revelation 3:1-6 on May 5; Philadelphia, Revelation 3:7-13 on May 12; and Laodicea, Revelation 3:14-22 on May 19. On Sunday, May 26, the church will hold a Memorial Day weekend picnic.
