Artists are invited to register for a day of plein air painting and artwork at the Veterans Memorial Gold Star Healing and Peace Garden, 1000 Vander Ave., York. The garden will be open for this event on Saturday, Oct. 2, from sunrise to sunset. There is no fee for the artists.

Participants of the plein air day will be invited to exhibit their finished art at the Veterans Day Celebration and Breakfast at the York County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Nov. 13. Veterans will judge these works and vote for the top three winners, who will receive prizes. Artists will be invited to sell their work at that time, too.
