Victor's celebrates 40th anniversary

Victor's Italian Restaurant, founded in 1984, celebrated its 40th anniversary by offering special dishes and events from June 24 to 29.

Events included the live, Sinatra-inspired music of Luke MacCloskey, an '80s-themed party and a Friday Night Jazz event that featured the Mark Swartzbaugh Trio. Live music by Suede concluded the weeklong party.

The restaurant, located at 554 S. Ogontz St., York, offers classic fare and seasonal menu offerings that have earned the restaurant Susquehanna Style's Best of York awards for Best Italian Restaurant, Best Cocktails and Best Outdoor Dining.

Recognized by Wine Spectator, Victor's offers an award-winning wine selection. Co-owner Mark Sindicich, a certified sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers, launched the SOMM SERIES, wine tastings that provide guests an opportunity to learn about, experience and pair wine with Italian dishes.

In addition to wine, the restaurant offers cocktails and draft beer selections, as well as house-made desserts.

Victor's is also known for its summer bocce league, which is also celebrating 40 years this summer. Sixty teams of two face off in hopes of being named the league winner.
