Vietnam Memorial Ceremony Slated

The Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) and Associates Chapter 1008 of Lancaster will hold a wreath laying and ceremony in honor of Memorial Day on Sunday, May 29, at 1 p.m., rain or shine, at Greenwood Cemetery, South Queen Street, Lancaster, at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The memorial was erected in the early 1980s in honor of Lancaster County Vietnam veterans who gave their lives in service to their country.

Taking part in the ceremony will include the Lancaster County Veteran Honor Guard and the Vet 21 Gun Salute, which will do a rifle salute and taps. Memories of the military personnel honored on the memorial will be shared in addition to reading the names of departed VVA members from May 2021 to the present. Family and friends are welcome to participate.
