Following a brief business meeting, Vin Tedesco from State College will discuss his experiences as an Army artillery officer supporting the Marines, South Vietnam military and other U.S. units along the DMZ from October 1967 through October 1968.

Tedesco grew up on Long Island, N.Y., and was commissioned in the Regular Army upon graduation from Penn State University in 1964. Also attached to the 1-44th was Battery G, 65th Air Defense Artillery.

Following his service in Vietnam, Tedesco stayed in the Army for 27 years, going to the Air Defense Advanced Course, Command and General Staff College and the Naval War College. He retired with the rank of colonel.

Tedesco received a master's degree from Bucknell University in 1972. Following his military service, he worked for Lockheed Martin for 20 years.

Vin and his wife, Suzann, have been married for 59 years, and they have three children, six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Vin loves Penn State sports, and he serves on several boards in State College and nationally.
