American violinist Andrew Sords, along with his piano accompanist, will perform at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren (COB), 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. The event is part of the congregation's Starlight Tea concert series, and tea and cookies will be served following the program.

Sords has performed across the United States as well as internationally, appearing with nearly 300 orchestras. Passionate about social causes, he has also performed for various charitable groups and was the first classical artist to compete in the charity fundraiser "Pittsburgh's Dancing With the Stars."
