Seven Lower Dauphin High School vocalists successfully auditioned their way into the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association's District 7 Chorus.

The students are seniors Abigail Foran, soprano 1; Marina Weidman, soprano 2; Kaitlyn Hoffman, alto 2; Nathan Wolfe, tenor 1; Mason Barrick, bass 1; Silas Howard, bass 2; and junior Hunter Meyers, bass 1. Kaitlyn placed first in the alto 2 section, and Marina and Silas placed in the top seven.

The students will perform in the District 7 festival, concluding with a concert on Jan. 27 at Lebanon Valley College with Ryan Beeken, director of choral studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, conducting.

District 7 of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association comprises Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.

Elizabeth Colpo is the director of choirs at Lower Dauphin High School.
